Why

Sadly, a vegan world is still a long way off. As a vegan, you sometimes wish you could avoid seeing products made through the suffering of animals – and, of course, avoid supporting non-vegan products and their production.

With the AllVeganPlease browser extension you can filter out or dim products that contain, for example, leather, wool, down, milk or eggs. That way you only see what is a real option for you.

Our principles

No push to buy.

The extension does not recommend products, show ads or make money from sales.

No guessing.

The reason is shown behind every badge. If information is missing, the product is marked "No info".

No tracking.

Everything happens in your own browser. We don't track what you look at or buy.

How it works

  1. Install the extension in your browser.

    It works right away in the supported shops, and no account is needed.

  2. Browse as before.

    The extension reads the ingredients and materials of products for you.

  3. You see only vegan products.

    The rest are hidden, dimmed or marked – you choose. You can also correct any result yourself.

What is checked

Classification is careful: if there is no information, the product is marked "No info" instead of guessing.

Food

  • Ingredients and allergens
  • E-codes (E120, E441, E904…)
  • Origin of vitamin D3
  • "May contain" statements do not make a product non-vegan

Cosmetics

  • INCI ingredients: Cera Alba, Lanolin, CI 75470, Mel, Keratin…
  • Synthetic and plant-based alternatives are recognised
  • Uncertain ingredients are shown separately

Clothing and shoes

  • Leather, wool, silk, down, fur
  • Cashmere, mohair, alpaca, felt
  • Faux leather and faux fur are accepted

Install

AllVeganPlease is in testing. Once the extension is published in the Chrome Web Store, installing takes one click.

  1. Unzip the extension package into a folder.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in your browser.
  3. Turn on Developer mode in the top right corner.
  4. Choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.

Safari

  1. Install the free Userscripts app from the App Store.
  2. Add the file allveganplease.user.js to it.
  3. Allow Userscripts in Safari extensions.
  4. Open the settings from the ⚙︎ button at the edge of the page.

Privacy

The extension does not collect data about you. Read the privacy policy.

  • All classification happens in your own browser.
  • Product details are fetched only from the shop you are browsing.
  • No account, cookies or tracking.
  • If you send a correction, only the product details and your comment are sent – none of your personal data.
  • If you send a shop wish, only the shop's address and your optional comment are sent.

Click the product badge and choose Send feedback. We review corrections regularly and improve the classification based on them.
